💠I'm 50% introvert and 50% extrovert, accurately so. I enjoy both settings equally, but I do much prefer hanging out in a smaller group.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💠Yoga is one of my all time fave exercises and I've been practicing for the last 4 years. I don't practice inversion, I just do poses that I am comfortable doing. It has truly enriched my body and soul.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💠I recently purchased Ring Fit Adventure for Nintendo Switch and boy, if you don't know what it is, you gotta look it up! It's a super fun exercise-based game that breaks a quite bit of a sweat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💠My boyfriend and I met on Tinder. It happened about 4 years ago when a friend of mine forcefully installed the app on my phone in a desperate attempt to get me dating again. I never used it and immediately forgot about the app, but later found it on my phone when I was ahem... in the toilet, bored and didn't have anything to read. So I swiped. LOL. Don't judge.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of my favourite things to do: Sketching up pretty line arts. They are so dainty, feminine & sophisticated 💕I truly have a lot of fun whenever I sketch them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of the ways I do this is to trace a real life photos. It can't be just any photos though, my preference is a portrait with clean-ish background (ones that are not too decorative or noisy so I can focus on the facial expressions). I always tweak them so they are more abstract instead of looking exactly like the models. This is just so that I can make these human expressions more relatable instead of it just looking like a stranger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As the quarantine proceeds and I've been cooped up in my apartment for 2 months now, I started to feel dull. Everyday it almost feels like day in day out, work and sleep. It took me sometime to bring back the everyday magic that I've felt the first time I started The Mood Lab.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I forgot to express gratitude, I forgot how lucky I was to be able to work from home, or wherever, really. I forgot that I was getting paid for doing what I love. I forgot to nurture my creative self and neglected down time for the sake of my mental wellbeing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You see friends, we're all just human, we forget. So today I'd like to remind you of why you do what you do. Photography is definitely one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me (aside from my creative nap 😌). Whenever I look for inspo, my eyes are always drawn to people and shadows. It reminds me of the contrasts of self: the light or the mask we put out in the world, and the shadow that we hide within.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It may sound super dramatic, but we all know that each one of us has the darker side that we burry deep down. Our demons that we always try to tame. The critical-self that remind us that we're less than what we actually are.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Over the past month and a half, I've been intentionally meditating because I want to calm those critical voices. I've come to realise that I need to change my perspective on success because overtime, the definition of success has become corrupted. I anchored my pace to others, in a never ending pursuit of pride, while true happiness and success is already within me - I just needed a little guidance to clear the clutter in my head.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
